Margoon Waterfall
The sight of uncompromising enormous stone rocks cracked by water falling off the cliffs is a wonderful delight to those who appreciate the peaceful company of the opposites.A frequently visited natural wonder in Iran is Margoon waterfall, in Fars Province. The waterfall is located near a village that goes with the same name. Plunging down from the height of 70-75 meters, this waterfall is fed directly from a chain of water springs inside the mountain, rather than rivers or streams. The journey of the river, originating from the waterfalls, continues into the surrounding groves.
The water here has a low temperature during all seasons and in the winter, the entire waterfall freezes, creating an array of astounding icicles, repeated along a width of about 100 meters. The waterfall is located near a village that goes with the same name.
